Prepare for a no deal Brexit

Precarious workers are leading the way: shut down useless commerce, then occupy everything else.

In the wake of Theresa May’s announcement on post Brexit immigration policy at the Tory Party conference, the angry mood music coming from the EU indicates that a no deal Brexit is becoming ever more likely by the day: EU anger over May’s post-Brexit immigration plan. While our stance on Brexit is a pox on both the Remain and Leave camps – What’s Brexit got to do with us? – it’s important to bear in mind that one consequence of a no deal Brexit will be a considerable amount of disruption and chaos.

The kind of disruption and chaos that could well lead to the enactment of emergency powers in a bid to keep things functioning at some kind of basic level and keeps the lid on any unrest. Also the kind of situation where amidst all of the chaos, the powers that be can start to impose disaster capitalism…
