Talk on women’s struggles in Rojava Brighton Saturday 28th May 2016

Saturday 28th May from 7pm to 9pm, The Brighton Friends Meeting House. Ship Street Brighton BN1 1AF.  Has wheelchair access.

This is part of a series of talks I have been giving around England after a trip to Rojava. It’s very focused on feminism and ‘the revolution within the revolution’, the one we fight with out hearts and minds.

“Radical strategies to break the patriarchal system in a war torn area.

Woman under the fight for autonomy and self-organisation in Kurdistan are defying millennia of oppression as they take control over domestic, work and military spheres. Their approach to feminism and woman struggles is inspiring people all around the world, following a new concept, ‘jinology’ or science of women, which is in direct opposition to estate power and capitalism.

We need some inspiration. All welcomed.”
