Palestine Nakba Vigil – Southampton Saturday 14th May 2016

Southampton Palestine Solidarity Campaign is holding a vigil tomorrow for 1 hour in the city centre to remember the Nakba when 700,000 Palestinians were expelled from their homes and thousands killed on the founding of the state of Israel in 1948.

Nakba ( meaning ‘the catastrophe’) Day is held every year at this time to recall the event and express solidarity with Palestinians still unable to return to their homes after nearly 70 years.

Please join us for one hour this Saturday in town, or for a shorter time, as we hold flags and a large message for the world, and hand out leaflets. Saturday 14 May 2016 3.30 – 4.30 pm Southampton Civic Centre, (lawn on South Side near main entrance and car park)
